We all know when Jesus Christ was crucified He had to appear in front of the judgment seat of Pontius Pilot. When Pontius Pilot declared that Jesus was innocent and he cannot find any fault with Him, The high priest and the entourage insisted that He be crucified and to release the Thief and murderer Barabas instead.
Pontius Pilot had no option and safe safeguard his status in Israel he said he cannot take responsibility for Jesus's innocent blood and the provoked crowd shouted in one accord, "Let His blood be upon us and our children".
