13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
I love this passage very much as Jesus tells us and shows us the road to enter the kingdom of God.
Today there are more than 41,000 Christian denominations in the world. Also, the religions could run into another 50,000. All these sects are searching to reach heaven someday but Jesus says; the gate is narrow. as all these religions are gates and many enter many gates. Though Christian, many will miss this gate as the way is narrow.
The biggest revelation here is; only a few will enter. Let's take a count on the word few!
1. What is a few of ten? Probably nothing.
2. What is a few of a fifty? Probably one or two.
3. What is a few of a hundred? Probably four or five.
4. What is a few of a thousand? Probably ten or twelve.
5. What is a few of a ten thousand? Probably thirty or forty.
The higher the count goes the fewer the few become. In my belief, Jesus is not talking about any mega-churches here at all as Jesus believed in the concept of the house church.
I believe when Jesus comes in the clouds to take us home, people in small churches have a better chance to meet up with him than any Mega-Church believers.
